You can search members by name, city, occupation or sub-community, and see up-jaati like Srivastava, Mathur, Saxena, Bhatnagar, Nigam and many more on their profiles.
This focus means the timeline feels warm and respectful, matrimony profiles come only from the community, and the people you meet are your own people.
2. Real people, with real verification
Every account is created with a mobile number and OTP. On top of that, every new login asks for a 4-digit Setu PIN. The account works on one device at a time — if someone logs in on a new phone, the old phone is logged out and shows on a map where that login happened.
There is more:
- Profile changes are reviewed before they go live.
- Duplicate and fake accounts are caught by photo matching.
- Up-jaati shows as verified when the father’s profile matches, when other members vouch, or when the team verifies it.
- Matrimony profiles and Marketplace businesses are approved before they appear.
- Premium members carry a blue Verified badge.
3. Privacy is taken seriously
Many families worry about sharing too much on their phone. Kayastha Setu gives you control. In Nearby Members, you can see how many members live within 5, 10, 25 or 50 km — but your exact location is never stored or shown. You can choose to show your photo, stay in ghost mode (only counted), or switch it off.
In-app calls hide mobile numbers, and you can block calls. Your Family Tree is visible only inside the app, never on the open web. Foul language is filtered on the timeline, photos are checked for unsafe content, and every post can be reported.
4. Our culture and faith, in one place
This is something general apps simply do not think about. Kayastha Setu has a whole set of features for our roots and devotion:

For children, Kids Zone has more than twenty safe, ad-free games. And every Sunday evening, the whole family can play Gyan Mahasangram, the live quiz read aloud in Hindi and English.
7. Most of it is free
Panchang, SOS, Blood Donors, Timeline, Live Quiz, Kalam Dawaat, Gita Saar, Digital Mala, Shubh Sandesh, Recipes, Kids Zone, searching jobs and browsing the Marketplace are all free. Premium is ₹149 per month (GST included) and unlocks the full Family Directory, Matrimony, Astro AI, posting jobs and the blue Verified badge. Free members can see 3 full directory contacts per day.
And if you serve the samaj, approved volunteers get a volunteer badge and free Premium.
8. Supporting our own
The Marketplace brings Kayastha-owned shops, makers and service providers together, with ordering and enquiries on WhatsApp. When we buy from our own, the whole samaj grows stronger.
