Why join Kayastha Setu at all?
Kayastha Setu is a family app built by the samaj, for the samaj. It brings together things our families already do every day, such as checking the panchang, wishing relatives on birthdays, sharing news, looking for a doctor in a new city, or finding a blood donor in an emergency. All of it sits in one app that works in Hindi, English, Marathi and Bengali.
Every member signs in with a mobile number and OTP, and also sets a 4-digit Setu PIN. The account works on one phone at a time. If someone logs in on a new phone, the old phone is logged out and shows where the new login happened. These steps help keep the community made up of real people.

Premium costs ₹149 per month, GST included. It unlocks:
- Full Family Directory access, instead of 3 full contacts per day.
- Kayastha Matrimony: profiles, interests, private chat and contact details.
- Astro AI, the jyotish chat that reads answers against your birth chart.
- Posting jobs and hiring on Kayastha Jobs.
- The blue Verified badge on your profile, posts and comments.

Safety is never behind a paywall
We want to say this plainly: the features that matter most in a difficult moment are free for every member. SOS Emergency, with its automatic SMS and live location to up to 5 contacts, is free. Blood Donors, including urgent requests that notify matching donors in a city, is free. Your medical card and India helpline numbers are free too. No family should have to pay to ask for help, which is why these features are part of the free app.
Who should consider Premium?
Premium makes sense if you have a clear need for one of the features above. For example:
- Parents looking for a rishta for a son or daughter through Kayastha Matrimony.
- Someone who wants to reconnect with many relatives and families through the full directory.
- A business owner or employer who wants to post a job and hire from the samaj.
- A person who enjoys asking Astro AI about career, marriage or business. Its answers are guidance for reflection, not a guarantee.
If you mainly want panchang, wishes, live aarti, the quiz, SOS and the community timeline, the free plan is honestly enough. There is no pressure to upgrade.
A way to get Premium free: seva
The samaj runs on seva, and the app respects that. Members who do community service can apply in Volunteers & Seva from My Account. Once the team approves the application, the volunteer gets a badge on their profile, a place on the wall of honour and free Premium.

Start free. Use the app for a few weeks, build your family tree, join the Sunday live quiz, set up SOS for your parents, and see how it fits into your day. If you later find that you need matrimony, the full directory, Astro AI or hiring, Premium is there for ₹149 a month.
