A Beginner’s Guide to Kayastha Setu Features in Hindi and English

If you are new to Kayastha Setu, or you are helping your parents or grandparents start using it, this guide is for you. We will go step by step, in simple words, and explain how the app works in Hindi and English. You do not need to be a technology expert. If you can use WhatsApp, you can use Kayastha Setu.

Step 1: Choose Your Language

When you open the app for the first time, it asks you to choose a language. The whole app works in Hindi, English, Marathi and Bengali. Most families choose Hindi or English. Do not worry if you choose wrongly – you can change the language any time later.

Many features also show both Hindi and English together. For example, the Panchang shows today’s tithi in Hindi and English, and Gita Saar gives the meaning of each shloka in both languages.

Step 2: Log In Safely

Login is simple and safe:

  1. Enter your mobile number.
  2. Type the OTP you receive.
  3. Set a 4-digit Setu PIN. Every new login will ask for this PIN.

Your account works on one device at a time. If someone logs in on a new phone, the old phone is logged out and shows on a map where the new login happened. If you forget your PIN, a linked family member can confirm it is you, the team can do a selfie check, or you can wait 24 hours (the logged-in phone can cancel this).

Step 3: Meet Kaya, Your Helper

If you do not like searching through menus, use Kaya, the AI assistant on the home screen. Tap the mic and speak, or type. Kaya understands Hindi and English and can open the right section for you. You can ask things like:

  • “Aaj ka panchang batao”
  • “Lucknow mein doctor”
  • “Mere liye koi job hai?”

This is the easiest way for elders to begin.
